The Franklin Central Junior High BPA achieved excellent success at this year’s State Leadership Conference held at Ball State University, this past Wednesday. Every member of our chapter qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.
At this conference, students from all over Indiana came together to present their projects to a panel of judges. BPA gives students an incredible opportunity to experience college settings and meet lots of new people.
“It’s really neat to see the students shine, and then when we go to nationals, see them meet new people, and explore lots of options,” said our chapter leader, Mrs. Phelps. Most students and teachers really enjoyed this event, and experienced many new opportunities.
Students had the chance to compete in numerous events. Franklin Central Junior High BPA got awards in tests, video creation, websites, speeches, and more.
A former and current teammate, Pavneet Mattu, says, “I placed first in all of my events.” Pavneet competed in prepared speech, website design, business communication, and social media marketing.
Students will be able to edit their projects before their final submission, for the National Leadership Conference, held from May 7th to 11th.
